Last 26 September 2009…Metro Manila was drowned by Typhoon Ondoy’s rain. In the first hours of the rain I was in my usual jovial self…enjoying the “bed weather” and was craving for some champorado (sweet porridge).
But around 11 am… I noticed that the rain is getting heavier and the waters started rising outside our house. I started sending sms messages to my friends (this i usually do especially when it’s raining)…wishing them well and safe.Then…the unexpected happened…water kept on rising until it entered our house. This is the first time for us.
Luckily, my brother and I were able to transfer our appliances to higher ground…

Sad to say…my piano was damaged…

Material things can be replaced…what’s important is that no lives were lost. We are all well and safe now.
